On my way up to the Grand Connaught Rooms in London last night, I was tempted to think that my only victory of the evening would be managing my bowtie without any assistance from my wife. It’s the small things in life that count, after all. So imagine how pleasantly surprised I was when our name was called out for the DM Awards Project of the Year.

I say surprised not because the project didn’t deserve it, but there were some great projects in the mix from competitors and partners alike – it was never a sure thing. But we had great buy-in and support from our client Pets Corner (top-notch service and great British products, for all you pet lovers out there – they’re busy winning loads of Pet Industry awards, now they can add technology awards to their list), and we knew the project had merit.

So, really satisfying to know that the outsourcing approach we’re taking is looked on positively by our peers in the industry. Thanks very much to the people at Document Manager magazine for organising the wonderful evening and for considering our project for the short list.

It feels great to start a new era in our company’s evolution with an industry validation that says we’re on the right track. You can read more about the project that we nominated at the Pets Corner project page on our main site. And note the perfectly tied bowtie in the photos. Not more than 20 minutes or so to get that baby looking proper. That’s not bad… is it?
